The watches from Mühle-Glashütte are above all one: timepieces. This understanding stems from the over 140-year tradition of the Glashütter family company in the production of precise measuring instruments. In no watch from Mühle-Glashütte, this story is reflected more clearly than in the new M 29 Classic. Because the dial design of the clearly drawn timepiece is modeled on the historic dial gauge model 29 by Robert Mühle.
In 1869, Robert Mühle began to produce precision instruments for the Glashütter watch industry. The highest precision and the exact readability of the displayed readings have become a hallmark of the instruments made by Mühle. To this day, Mühle-Glashütte feels committed to the manufacture of high-quality wrist watches. This is particularly evident in the new M 29 Classic.
The fine, glazed scale of this timepiece is unmistakably inspired by the historic dial gauge model 29 by Robert Mühle & Sohn. While the latter displays meas- urements accurate to one hundredths of a millimeter, the scaling of the M 29 Classic enables the accurate reading of the time at a glance. The black scale and the finely cut, dark hands stand out clearly from the crème-colored dial. Red indices create points of orientation as on the dial gauge and make the clock's instrumental character perfectly. They are supplemented by a red border of the date display. The 42.4 millimeter measuring case is supported by a brown calf leather bracelet.
Above the highest precision and the best readability, the M 29 Classic stands for absolute robustness. This is due to the recent company history of Mühle-Glashütte. Through the production of nautical instruments and ship watches, which began after the German reunification, Mühle developed the claim to enable the accuracy of its nautical timepieces under all conditions of use.
The automatic movement of the M 29 Classic is equipped with the patented, highly shock-resistant housing control, while the resistant housing is provided with a water-tightness of up to 10 bar and a screw-down crown with flank protection. This is reminiscent of a nautical timepiece from Mühle-Glashütte: the 29er Big named after a sailboat class, which is made of brushed and polished stainless steel.
In the M 29 Classic, nautical robustness meets the precision and instrumentation of the dials of historic mill dials. And the M 29 Classic is not only a timepiece in its elementary form, but also a complete reminiscence of the company history of Mühle-Glashüttes, in which the passion for precise measurement merges with the nautical tradition. A timepiece in which measuring time becomes the measure of things.
